Currently our search engine only searches for the common name or scientific name of each plant represented in an illustration. Full-text searching across the text of each volume will be implemented at a later date.

Examples of common name entries would be hollyhock or foxglove.
Examples of scientific name entries would be Cinchona or Koelreuteria paniculata.

Names can be shortened to "significant" characters, for example Malus spectabilis can be seen by entering Malus sp because no other name has that arrangement of letters.
