 - Plantarum selectarum icones pictae / editae a Nicolao Meerburg.
Published: Lugduni Batavorum [Leiden]: Apud J. Meerburg, 1798.
This very rare work was published in 1798. There are twenty-eight colored plates drawn and engraved by Nicolaas Meerburgh, who was a Dutch botanist and curator of the Leiden Botanical Garden from 1774-1814. These plates were described and reviewed (1799) in a German periodical as "crude etchings" compared to other natural history works of the time.
This book was digitized and edited by Wendy Westmoreland. Web design by Debbie Windus.  Digitized 4/29/2003.
